items of note.v1.yellow & red boundary Public Procurement in the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership Negotiations has been published by the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and the Center for Transatlantic Relations (CRT) in the School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University. The paper reviews the current state of affairs between the United States and the European Union on government procurement, focusing on those areas that each side has opened to the other and those they have withheld. It then proposes a strategy for the two parties to use the TTIP negotiations to advance their procurement relationship. It is published as part of the CEPS-CTR project “TTIP in the Balance’’ and can be found at: CEPS or CTR. (Full disclosure: I co-authored the paper with Steve Woolcock of the London School of Economics). Jean Heilman Grier February 9, 2015
